In the sales capacity, Bruce has travelled to numerous countries around the world including, Australia, China, Nigeria, Germany, Spain and Guatemala just to name a few. That worldwide travel experience has offer a valuable insight for Bruce to help potential entrepreneurs develop their strategy for capitalizing from the bottled water industry.

Born in Torrance, California his family moved to the small town of Clarkson, Nebraska, in 1962. After a short time in Clarkson, is family moved again to Wayne, Nebraska then on to North Platte Nebraska where Bruce was named to several All-State Basketball teams an established a State of Nebraska high jump record of 6’8” (203 cm).

After competing high school Bruce earned a full-ride scholarship to Creighton University in Omaha Nebraska, where he studied marketing and accounting and played on the University basketball team.

After two years at Creighton Bruce transferred to and graduated from Rockhurst College in Kansas City, Missouri with a degree in Marketing and Communications. Bruce continues to use the skills he learned at Rockhurst as the Head of Sales for the Company.

Shortly after graduation from Rockhurst, Bruce was drafted by a professional basketball team in Australia and sighed with the Adelaide 36er’s where he played for 5 years until his retirement in 1985. Bruce credits his basketball career for his strong sense of “team” and determination to get the job done.

After his basketball career ended, Bruce was named Regional Manager for Weber Barbecue’s in New South Wales Australia. Bruce was responsible to retail marketing and product placement for the company’s products in major retail outlets throughout southeast Australia.

In 1990, Bruce moved back to the United States and worked for a small company that sparked his passion for bottled water. His enthusiasm for the segment continues to intensify each year as Norland becomes an even more important resource to entrepreneurs and the bottled water industry as a whole.

Bruce has served as and Advisor on the Technical Review Committee for the Water Conditioning and Purification publication and was has also been a Member of Technical Review Board for the Bottled Water Association in Nigeria. To Bruce’s nearest calculation, he has helped over 800 bottled water entrepreneurs enter this exciting industry. “After 20 years in the business, my drive is as strong today as it was when I first started out. There are now many more options and opportunities for a bottler - and that’s the exiting part. We constantly share success stories from our customers around the world. In many cases, our ideas have helped operators grow their business to heights they had never imagined.”
